PM. Prachanda visits China and India |

Friday 03rd of October 2008 [ ????????, ???? १७, २०६५ ]
The newly elected first Prime minister of Nepal Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, popularly known as “Prachanda” leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) visited the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympic 2008 in China. This was his first non - official foreign nation visit after he assumed the post. His visit was fruitful in garnering international support for Nepal. Similarly Mr.Dahal visited Nepal’s Southern neighbor, India from 14-18 Sept, 2008. This was the official visit and the first one by the first PM of Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Previously, when the PM went to India there was talk of dismay because of his China visit. His visit was successful in reviewing, readjusting and replacing all treaties including the 1950 Peace and Friendship Treaty, financial and logistic support for Koshi river flooding and displaced people and Private/Public Indian investment in Nepal. India assured of continued support for Nepal
